Port strike threatens food supply, causing potential shortages for local food banks

VIRGINIA – About 30% of the food purchased by the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank comes from the ports now undergoing a strike. A lot of it is fresh produce, like potatoes, squash and lettuce, all kept in a large cold storage area within their warehouse.
